Thankful

I'm thankful that I have the week off. Fresno Unified has never had a full vacation week for Thanksgiving. Truth be told, I was against it. I would rather have the longer summer break. But I may as well enjoy it while it's here.

It was cold today but I played golf anyway and life was good.

Tomorrow Ashley comes home and we can't wait to see her.

Blogging will be at a minimum this week. But that doesn't mean that I'm not thankful for all y'all.

This is the 2nd year in a row that we have Wednesday off and it's nice but a whole week?!?! Now that's what I'm talking about.

Playing golf? We'll be playing on Friday. Remember, drive for show but putt for (not that I would gamble, much) dough.

Happy Thanksgiving my Math Brother.

Ashley's Dad is so excited to see her he has made himself sick this morning! His stomach was tight and he felt very anxious...I sent him out the door with a handful of Tums and a promise I'd call as soon as his baby girl landed in Fresno. I guess Daddy's worry whatever the age of their daughter...

Can't wait to have some time with you this weekend! Love you.

It's Sherwood Forest for me on Thursday morning. All the guys go in the morning, to golf, as a family tradition. After we labor for several hours, trying to find missing golf balls in the rough, we arrive at Grandma's ready to devour. As for me, I will teach even tomorrow, Wednesday, and we will learn about Thanksgiving while making turkies. I call it, "Turkey History Day!"

P.S. The last anonymous quote submitted, without a name in the writing either, was me. Sorry.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone...

On Friday, I will exit this deep freeze and return to weather that is over 18*, I hope. This is truly "Northern Exposure"...moose often roam in streets and my sister's yard here in Anchorage.

Tomorrow, it'll be a houseful...we've got 3 turkeys, 1 whole ham,and 7 pies and all the trimmings to devour.

I've SO much to be thankful for...it's been an amazing 10 days.
